Summer Favorites

Hello Fashionistas! June is here, and Summer officially begins in a few weeks! The start of a new season means, new wardrobe of course! But before I go on a Summer shopping spree, I wanted to share with you 3 core pieces that are always a must in my Summer wardrobe; The fun BodyCon dress, The Maxi dress, and the romper. 

First up, the BodyCon Dress. I love to show off my figure in one of these! I got this dress at Zara, and I was immediately drawn to the Black & White stripes! (I love anything Black & White, especially if it has a striped design.) What sold me was the pretty ruffle detail on the top. You can rock the ruffles over the shoulders to create adorable ruffle sleeves, or you can pull them down for a Sexy and Flirty bare shoulders look! Black and White is the perfect canvas for you to really have fun and play with colors. For this look, I chose a vibrant Pink pump with a matching Pink clutch in a different texture. A studded double choker with a dangling Pearl added to the sexiness of this look, and I chose Pearl earrings to complement the Pearl on the choker. To add to the Pink party I chose a bold Pink lip. I would definitely rock this look to have cocktails with girlfriends on a warm, New York City night. 

Next on my list of Summer favorites is the Maxi dress. This however, is a Maxi dress with a twist! I noticed this dress from afar. I loved the flower print and the off the shoulder design, so I just had to see it up close! As I got nearer, I noticed it wasn't your typical Maxi dress; it was actually a dress and shorts combo! A Maxi dress is CLASSIC, but I am all for trying new things when it comes to Fashion and this was surely one of those pieces I just had to have! I wanted to keep the accessories neutral, so I chose nude and brown tones to best complement the beautiful colors in this dress. Gold hoop earrings, a nude choker with Gold detail, a brown belt, and Brown sandals with Gold studded detail. A dark brown pair of oversized sunnies ties it all together. I would wear this to a Summer seafood brunch al fresco in City Island and take lots of pictures by the water! 

Last on my list of Summer faves, is the romper. Another classic I've seen remixed in so many ways throughout the years! You can't tell from this pic, but it has a trendy cold shoulder design with delicate ruffles on the side. I love the gorgeous blush color that is super on trend and goes so beautifully with my complexion. The drawstring tied right at the waist really accentuates my curves, while the length of the romper tastefully shows off my legs. (The train conductor seemed to like it!) For this look I rocked 2 braids, gold hoops, a Gold chain link choker and a fabulous nude sandal. Finishing this look, is a gorgeous pair of Rose Gold sunnies. I would totally rock this outfit to spend the afternoon shopping with friends and then end my day at a cute little cafe with a cappuccino and something sweet.
